Matrix Properties

This dialog can be opened using the Set Properties... command from the Matrix menu.

The controls from the Data box allow setting some global properties of the selected matrix, such as the cell width (in pixels) and the format and precision used to display the data values. The Default numeric format means that QtiPlot uses either the decimal or the scientific 'e' format, whichever is the most concise.

The controls from the X/Y box allow changing the format and precision used to display the values of the X and Y coordinates of the selected matrix. The coordinates are displayed in the horizontal and vertical headers of the matrix if the Show X/Y option is checked.

The Depends on box is visible only if the matrix was created by convertion from a table column, using either the Bin Matrix Dialog, the Regular XYZ Gridding Dialog or the Random XYZ Gridding Dialog and the Recalculate option available in these dialogs was set to Auto.

In this case QtiPlot created a connection between the source data table and the matrix, so that every time the values in the table are modified the matrix is automatically updated. This connection can be disabled by unchecking the Depends on box. Please beware that the connection cannot be reestablished.

The Depends on box displays the name of the source data column and a View button on the right side that shows/activates the source table when pressed.
