The Graph 3D Menu

This menu is only active (visible) when a 3D graph window is selected.

Graph 3D -> Add/Remove Curve (Alt-C)

Opens the Add/Remove Curves... dialog, allowing easy addition or removal of curves to or from the active 3D plot window. This dialog can also be used to edit a 3D surface, by selecting it from the Graph contents panel on the right and pressing the Edit Function... button.

Graph 3D -> Add Text... (Shift-T)

Adds a new text object to the active 3D plot window after a left click from the user at the desired position and opens the Surface Plot Options dialog with the new text object already selected, so that it can be fully customized.

Graph 3D -> Add Color Scale

Adds a new color scale object to the active 3D plot window after a left click from the user at the desired position.

Graph 3D -> New Legend (Ctrl-L)

Adds a new legend object to the active 3D plot window.

Graph 3D -> New 3D Surface Plot ...

Adds a new analytical surface to the active 3D plot window. Opens the Define surface plot dialog.

Graph 3D -> New 3D Parametric Surface Plot ...

Adds a new parametric surface to the active 3D plot window. Opens the Define surface plot dialog and with the Surface type preset to Parametric.

Graph 3D -> Rescale To Show All (Ctrl-Shift-R)

Rescales the active 3D plot after a change of scales operation so that all data on the graph is visible.

Graph 3D -> Enabled axes

The commands in this menu can be used in order to choose the displayed axes in the active 3D plot window.

No axes

Disables drawing of the axes and of the planes containing them.

Frame

Draws only the three axes on the active 3D plot.

Box

Draws the three axes on the active 3D plot and a box around it.

1/2 Box (Right)

Draws the three axes of the active 3D plot and three of the planes containing them: the right plane, the back plane and the floor.

1/2 Box (Left)

Draws the three axes of the active 3D plot and three of the planes containing them: the left plane, the back plane and the floor.

Graph 3D -> Show grids

The commands in this menu can be used in order to choose the grids that are displayed in the active 3D plot window.

Front Grid

Draws a grid on the front plane which is defined by y=ymin.

Back Grid

Draws a grid on the back plane which is defined by y=ymax.

Right Grid

Draws a grid on the right plane which is defined by x=xmax.

Left Grid

Draws a grid on the left plane which is defined by x=xmin.

Ceiling Grid

Draws a grid on the top plane which is defined by z=zmax.

Floor Grid

Draws a grid on the floor plane which is defined by z=zmin.

Graph 3D -> Enable perspective

Enables/Disables 3D perspective mode.

Graph 3D -> Reset rotation

Resets the rotation angles of the 3D plot to the default values.

Graph 3D -> Fit frame to window

Resets the layout of the 3D plot trying to find the zooming paramateters that are best suited to the window size. It readjusts the length of the axis ticks to a default value.

Graph 3D -> Animation

Enables/disables animation. The parameters of the animation, that is the rotation steps around each of the three axes, can be customized via the General tab of Surface Plot Options dialog.
